Email Writing Tips 5 – Keep Messages Complete

Double the trouble. That’s what you do when sending out incomplete messages because receivers have to send back inquiries about whatever was lacking. Some ideas to help:

  • • Know yourself (‘What were my past “double trouble” errors?’)
  • • Know your readers (‘What’s the minimum amount of text they need?’)
  • • Use a checklist (‘Did I include all necessary logic steps, such as a deadline, confirmation, etc.?’)

Oh yeah, and don’t forget to attach those files as promised in your email.
